1. How can I find and book a hotel in Thailand on your website

Please click on the desired destination from the tab menu located on the top of our website, then you will see all the hotels that we offer in this city / province. You can sort them by price, popularity, 'star' rating and location.

If you are looking for a specific hotel, please use the search field at the top of the website. Just enter the first letters of the hotel name, wait a bit - and in the drop down menu you will see the list of the hotels matching your request. Please select the hotel that you are looking for, and click 'Go'. In the case you cannot find the hotel that you are looking for on our website - just drop us a note, we will offer you an alternative hotel.

We offer 2 - 5 star hotels, villas and serviced apartments in Thailand. On our website you can see hotels descriptions, hotel pictures, see the reviews by other guests (if any of our guests have left review for this specific hotel), you can view and print out the hotel map with the address in Thai - so that you can easily reach the hotel on your own.

On every hotel page you will find our special discounted prices per room per night (not per person). All the prices are fixed in Thai Baht, most of the rates include breakfast already. You can use the 'Select your currency' menu to see the room rate in your preferred currency (we use Bangkok bank exchange rate).

Then proceed to the room reservation menu. There are 2 options:

1. You make a reservation and pay it with your credit card online, via a secure payment channel provided by our bank. In this case your option is 'Book realtime'. Please note that we do not guarantee that the room is available, we will check the room availability and confirm it to you if the room is available, otherwise we will offer you alternative options. If you are not satisfied with the alternative offer, we will release the money back to your credit card.

2. You send us an enquiry - by choosing 'Send enquiry' button from the menu, we will check rooms available and send you a reply. In this case you can pay for your reservation later, using the most convenient payment option (see more details below).

Please select the exact period that you would like to stay in the selected hotel, room type and number of persons staying in one room.

Please note:

Single room type - only 1 person can stay

Twin/Double - can stay 2 persons, Twin means two separate beds, Double means one king-size or queen-size bed.

ABF included - breakfast is included in the room rate

If you travel with kids, please inform us the child age in the drop-down menu, or use the 'additional requests' field to inform us your kids` age and any other special accommodation requests that you may have.

2. How fast do I get your reply if I book through your website?

Normally you receive an answer within 24 hours, but sometimes it might take a bit longer - if we received your booking on Sunday (which is a holiday), during national holidays or during peak season.

3. How do hotels accommodate adults and children in the same room?

Normally in regular rooms (such as Standard, Superior, Deluxe) hotel allows accommodation of a maximum of 3 adults (the third adult is paying for an extra bed), or 2 adults and 2 children (in this case the first child will be accommodated on an extra bed, and the second child will share the bed with the parents). Extra bed rates for adult and child you can see by placing the cursor over the rate for a Twin/Double room. If the basic Twin/Double room rate includes breakfast, then the extra bed rates also include breakfast.

Children in Thai hotels are normally considered persons under 12 years old, if a person is older than 12 years old, he or she will be considered as adult. Normally hotels would not allow 3 adults and 1 child share the same room.

Please note that if the number of people staying in the room is more than originally booked, hotel may charge you extra.

4. The hotel price on your website - what does it include?

All the rates are given per room per night, for single or twin/double accommodation, and include VAT and other applicable taxes, and service charges. The price is valid for the shown room type and period.

Breakfast - normally American breakfast buffet - is already included in the room rates for most hotels. For some hotels where breakfast is not yet included, we are pleased to offer you a special contract rate for the breakfast. In order to use these special rates breakfasts need to be booked through our company in advance.

5. Will the hotel take any deposit when we check-in to the hotel and what for?

Please keep in mind that the majority of Thai hotels will require a deposit upon your check-in. It can be either cash deposit, normally taken in Thai Baht, or a credit card slip, in this case the hotel will pre-authorize (or block) the necessary amount on your credit card. This deposit is served to guarantee payment for any extra services that you may use at the hotel – minibar, phone calls, laundry, etc. The amount of deposit may vary depending on hotel class, from 500 to 9000 THB per stay per room, or more for high-class hotels. This deposit, less the services you used at the hotel, will be returned to you upon check-out.

6. What are the booking conditions of Thailand hotels for peak periods?

1. Christmas (Catholic on 24 December and Russian Orthodox on 06 January), and New Year - peak period is approximately from 15 December until 20 January;

2. Chinese New Year - end of January - beginning of February, dates differ every year according to the lunar calendar. There might be extra surcharge for accommodation during this period, approximately from 26 January till 16 February - and will be confirmed separately for each hotel.

3. Songrkan Festival - Thai New Year is celebrated in April, dates may differ from year to year, approximately from 10 till 17 of April.

As there is a big demand for the specified periods, it is recommended to make a reservation several month in advance - the sooner the better, and upon confirmation of the booking hotel requires a deposit. This deposit is non-refundable in case the booking is cancelled.

The exact deposit amount and the payment deadline will be confirmed separately for each booking/hotel.

7. What is the booking procedure if I book on your website?

Once we have received your reservation or enquiry, our reservation team checks the rooms available and make a reservation for you in your desired hotel. In case that there are no rooms available in your desired hotel, we will offer you another option within the same price range, and if possible, within the same location.

1. We will send you a confirmation of your booking, where you will see your payment deadline. This will take several hours if the booking is received within the working hours (Monday-Friday 09 AM till 6 PM, Saturday 9 AM till 12-00 noon, local time. Thailand Standard Time is 7 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+7).

At this stage, once you have received our reply with the confirmation of your booking, we would ask you to reply us, stating in the header of your message:

- "CONFIRM" - if you would like to confirm your booking - "CANCEL" - if you would like to cancel your booking

When booking with us, unlike booking with any other online booking system, you do not have to give us a credit card guarantee, neither you have to pay us immediately. In your confirmation letter you will see the payment deadline, which is normally about 7 to 15 days before arrival (except peak periods stated in Question number 5).

8. How can I pay?

If you have chosen to pay by credit card - please never send your credit card details by email or by insecure connections. If you choose to pay us by credit card, we will send you the payment link that uses a secure payment channel.

1. Payment online on our website, via secure channel. In this case your credit card information is sent to our bank (not to us - we never get any credit card details), the data is transmitted via secure channel, using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, so all the data is transferred encoded. In order to further enhance the transaction security, our bank uses 3D security process. We accept Visa, Master Card and Visa Electron are accepted, Mastercard Electron is not accepted yet.

In case you are paying for your accommodation by someone else's card, we will ask you to download the credit card form, let the card owner fill it out and send to us by fax (662) 219 17 13, along with the card owner's passport copy. This is solely done to protect the card owners from possible unauthorized card use.

Important - once the bank has received your credit card data, it blocks the necessary amount of money on your credit card. Money is still on your account, but since the money has been 'authorized' you will not be able to use it. Only when the hotel confirms your booking, the bank will acquire (or 'cut') the authorized money from your card.

2. Payment by bank transfer - you can transfer the payment to our bank account, if you choose this option we will send you a pro-forma invoice that you can use at any bank, this is our bank details:

9. What will I get once I have paid?

Once we receive your payment, we issue a voucher - confirmation of your booking, one copy will be sent to the hotel as a guarantee of your booking, and we will also send you a copy of this voucher. Please print it and use for check-in. If you book transfer with us, you will also receive a copy of a printed voucher from our guide.

If you made an urgent booking and did not have a chance to print out the voucher - you can check-in without a voucher. In this case simply show your passport at the reception and inform the hotel that your booking was made by FARGO Travel. In case of any queries please call us at (662) 219 17 22 (multi-lines).

The issued accommodation voucher is a guarantee that we pay to the hotel for your accommodation. On arrival many hotels also require your credit card or a cash deposit, and this will be used for extra services, such as phone calls from the hotel room, room service, laundry service, minibar and other extra services that you may use at the hotel. These extra services you will need to pay before departure from the hotel.

Please note that if you have paid for your accommodation with a credit card, your bank statement will show payment in favor of FARGO Co., LTD.

10. If I need to cancel my booking, what will happen?

1. If the booking is cancelled AFTER we issued a 'Voucher - booking confirmation', and if we received the written cancellation notice more than 48 hours prior to your check-in to the hotel (applicable for low season only, for other periods the 'no-charge' cancellation deadline will be stated upon conformation of your booking) - the charges in this case will be:

a) If you have paid for your booking by a credit card: 500 Thai Baht as handling charge - see exchange rate. The rest of the amount will be returned to the account used for payment by a credit card, less 5% of the total amount. This 5% commission is taken by the our bank as a credit card payment fee.

b) If you have paid by cash: 500 Thai Baht as handling fee. The rest of the amount will be returned to you by cash.

Cancellation guidelines for the peak periods:

If you have made a booking that falls into one of the mentioned periods, then, as a rule, if you would like to cancel your booking, hotel will not refund the deposit that was paid upon confirmation of the booking. The payment and cancellation conditions for the peak periods bookings will be stated in your booking confirmation, separately for each booking/hotel.

11. If I would like to extend my booking?

If you would like to extend your stay at the hotel after you checked-in and would like to use the special rates, provided by FARGO Co., LTD., please contact us by phone (662) 219 17 22 (multi-line), by fax (662) 219 17 13 or by email. The price at the hotel is normally 30-70% higher than what we offer.

12. Can you meet me at the airport and transfer to the hotel?

Yes, we can provide a transfer from Bangkok airport or other airports in Thailand, including the fast-track service at the airport. We can also offer transfers within Thailand by different cars and minivans, including the VIP-cars, with or without guide.

13. Can you book an airticket for me?

Yes, we can book tickets for international flights starting from Thailand, and for domestic routes within Thailand. Here you can send us the flight request.

Important - to book and issue air tickets we need copies of the passports of all travelers, the page with the photo.

14. Do I need a travel medical insurance? Is it better to buy the insurance in Thailand or in my country of residence?

We strongly recommend that you have a travel medical insurance when you come to Thailand. If you are going to do sports such as diving, mountain climbing, rafting or others - we suggest that you purchase extra insurance that covers these sports activities. Please ask your insurance agent to offer you the best option depending on your traveling plans. As of now, according to Thai regulations, you cannot purchase individual travel insurance in Thailand.

15. Can I also book an excursion with you? Do you have guides? Which languages do your guides speak?

We have English-speaking guides in Bangkok, Pattaya, Samui, Phuket and Chiang Mai. If you need a guide that speaks other language - we can arrange that as well, if you notify us in advance. The priority is given to the clients who booked with us the accommodation in the province where they would like to buy excursions.
